CCCC + CNN + 56k = 0 blogging

Because I'm attending the annual Conference on College Composition and Communication and, when not attending sessions, staring slackjawed at the escalating conflict in Iraq, andbecause my best available connection is dial-up, blogging will be limited for the next few days. I recommend Tom Tomorrow's blog for its regular updates, and for the righteous indignation with which Tom T. surveys the landscape, always asking implicitly, as the second Elvis wrote, "what's so funny 'bout peace, love, and understanding?" Tomorrow's antiwar positions are all the more powerful when one remembers that he was close enough to the WTC attacks to photograph the towers' fall and smell the smoke.
